Goalkeeper / Striker Training The four sessions will be dedicated to two specific skill sets: scoring and goalkeeping. Each session, the strikers will train with Coach Nick Tunic (bio below) for approximately 30 minutes and the goalkeepers will do the same with Coach Max Crothall (bio below). The groups will then join for the second portion of the training. The goal of the program is to help players develop the techniques and thinking skills to elevate their positional play at these crucial positions. Players must register for one position or the other.

Coach Bios Nick Tunic (Striker) is a professional soccer player and RYS staff member who has been a reliable goal scorer throughout his career in professional leagues in Italy (Aqui Calcio), Slovenia (NK Tolmin), Germany (Eintracht Bad Kreuznah), Spain (Alicante Ciudad FC), and Australia (Estates FC; Mazenod FC). A former high school all-American at Mamaroneck High School, Nick has now become a role model to the many RYS players he coaches in our Mini Garnets, intramural, and travel programs.
Max Crothall (Goalkeeper) Max grew up playing for the RYS Galaxy before honing his craft in Europe at the Paris Saint-Germain Academy Pro Residency (ICEF) for two years. Returning to Rye HS for his senior season in 2023, Max put together one of the all-time best seasons for a Rye HS goalkeeper and led his team to the Section 1 finals. He will continue his playing career at SUNY Geneseo in the fall. Max has incredible dedication to his training and a passion for teaching and coaching the intricacies of his position.
