2020 RYS WORLD CUP SUMMER CLINIC
We will hold two sessions of our Summer Clinics. We anticipate that all spaces will fill up as they have the past many years. See below for more information: Monday, June 22 - Friday, June 26 Session 1: 3:45 pm - 6:00 pm (Entering grades K-3) Session 2: 6:00 pm- 8:15 pm (Entering grades 4-8) @ Rye Country Day School Open to students entering grades K-8 Monday, August 31 - Friday, September 4 Session 3: 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. (Grades K-8) @ Rye Recreation Field Open to students entering grades K-8 Cost: $275 per week ($50 discount for each additional sibling per week |

Approximately 1 Head Coach and 2 Assistants per 10 Campers.
Highlights
Each night features two 25-minute instructional sessions (players are grouped according to age and gender), an exciting skills competition, and two World Cup matches (co-ed) leading to the quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals that take place on the last evening of camp. All campers will receive a t-shirt, and there will be several nightly prizes and trophies awarded for sportsmanship and skills competitions!

Evening at June Clinic: 2nd Grade Camper3:30- 3:40 : Warm-up activities
3:40-4:05 : Technical Session #1: Dribbling activities designed to promote comfort, ease and creativity with the ball. This session ends with skill-specific games. 4:05-4:10: Gatorade and snack break 4:10-4:35 : Technical Session #2: Shooting exercises designed to instruct fundamentals of a powerful, accurate strike of the ball . This session ends with skill-specific games. 4:35-4:40 : Gatorade and snack break 4:40-5:00 : Skills Competition Age Group Finals 5:00-5:15 : World Cup Tournament Game 1 5:20-5:35 : World Cup Tournament Game 2 5:35-5:45 : Nightly awards and prizes |

6:10-6:35 : Technical Session #1: Dribbling to Beat an Opponent, a session designed to develop players’ penetrating abilities with the ball at their feet 6:35-6:40 : Gatorade break 6:40-7:05: Tactical Session #2: Combination Play, a session designed to promote acknowledgment and execution of wall passes, double passes, overlap runs, and dribble takeovers in match related conditions 7:05-7:10 : Gatorade break 7:10-7:30: Skills Competition Age Group Finals 7:30-7:50 : World Cup Tournament Game 1 7:50-8:10: World Cup Tournament Game 2 8:10-8:15: Nightly awards and prizes |
